Module III - Shareholder Engagement

This one-day training is the third session on compensation governance and has been developed for reward specialists, who have participated in Module I and II of the Compensation Governance Training and would like to deepen their understanding of Compensation Governance or who are particularly interested in the topics of pay-for-performance and shareholder engagement in the Swiss context. The topics include practice cases and working group discussions. While Module I and Module II of the Compensation Governance Training provide a solid basis on Governance matters it is not absolutely necessary to have participated in these modules in order to attend Module III.

Module III of the Compensation Governance Training costs CHF 950.- per participant (for companies with more than one participant: CHF 600.- per additional participant).

The Compensation Governance Training will be held on Thursday, 12 November 2020 at Westhive in Zurich.

  • Proxy advisors' guideline on the disclosure of pay-for-performance and their methodologies to measure the link between pay and performance
  • Disclosure of the pay-for-performance link in the compensation report: requirements and prevalent market practice

Shareholders' perspective

  • Overview of the main institutional shareholders and of their latest voting guidelines on compensation matters
  • Importance of understanding who your key shareholders are and how to engage with them to ensure their support at the Annual General Meeting
