Part II - Training on Compensation Governance

This one-day training is a second session on compensation governance and has been developed for compensation/reward specialists, who have participated in the first Compensation Governance Training and would like to deepen their understanding of Compensation Governance or who are particularly interested in the topics of pay-for-performance and shareholder engagement. While Part I of the Training on Compensation Governance provides a solid basis on Governance matters it is not absolutely necessary to have joined Part I in order to participate in the Part II training.

Part II of the training covers compensation governance topics related to pay-for-performance and shareholder engagement in the Swiss context. The session costs CHF 950.- per participant (for companies with more than one participant: CHF 600.- per additional participant).

The corporate governance training will be held on 19 June 2019 and will be hosted by Idorsia in Allschwil (Hegenheimermattweg 91). The training follows the structure below:

  • Proxy advisors' guideline on the disclosure of pay-for-performance and their methodologies to measure the link between pay and performance
  • Disclosure of the pay-for-performance link in the compensation report: requirements and prevalent market practice

Shareholder engagement

  • Overview of the main institutional shareholder and of their voting guidelines on compensation matters
  • Importance of understanding who your key shareholders are and how to engage with them to ensure their support at the Annual General Meeting
